Lugano

 
Lugano is situated in Ticino, the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, at the shores of the lago di Lugano. The city lies against the slopes of a mountain, providing the visitors (and inhabitants of course) several nice views over the lake from the upper parts of the city. The boardwalk apparently is on the list of places 'you have to visit'.
