Finger lakes

From New York city we drove north through the Hudson valley and stayed for the night in Rotterdam. The next day we visited the finger lakes region, which is a beautiful area with lakes, hills, forests and vineyards. We visited the Taugannock falls, an area with quiet forest trails and a beautiful waterfall, and the cozy student/hippie town Ithaca that turned out to have its annual music festival. We liked the atmosphere in Ithaca and recommend this small town if you are travelling in the region. To the right is a short video impression of the main street with the music festival.
