Atlanta

The last few days of our trip were in Atlanta, the "Capital of the South". Our main reason for visiting Atlanta was for Daniel to show Melanie memories from his student time in Atlanta. Much has changed: downtown had become more rundown, and midtown has been revitalized. We spent the three days in Atlanta resting, visiting the Georgia Tech campus and the nearby Margareth Mitchell (author of "Gone with the wind") House, and shopping. We finished our holiday with a lunch with Marylou and Jim Foley (Daniel's former professor).
