Eureka

 
Eureka is in North California (approx 500km north of San Francisco). Eureka itself isn't very special; there are two streets with some nice Victorial style houses and several tourist shops. In the area around Eureka though there are several parks with coastal redwoods worth visiting. We visited Patrick's point (no redwoods) which has some nice views over the ocean and Humboldt Redwoods SP, which has several trails among those giants.
