Katherine

 
Katherine is a small town about 200km south of Darwin. The Katherine river has eroded over 25 milion years some spectacular gorges. In the wet season the river swells to a torrent filling the gorges almost completely. In the dry season it is a calm river at the bottom of these impressive gorges.
